More than half of all marriages in the U.S. end in divorce, and while Tiger Woods apologized for his transgressions, everyone wants to know if he can save his relationship and his marriage with Elin.
This couple has a long way to go to save their relationship and the intense media spotlight makes it even harder. The nature of celebrity is such that you are subject to unimaginable temptation, something the ordinary person does not understand. He has come out and apologized but we certainly don’t know what has gone on behind the scenes. Other celebrity marriages have survived torrid affairs and so it will depend on how strong this relationship is and how much Tiger and Elin both want to save their marriage.
It may very well be that the world’s most beloved athlete and his wife would be better served working out their issues with a mediator.We can only hope their marriage will survive these indiscretions and reaching out to a third party would be a healthy and hopeful approach. Tiger and Elin should ignore the tabloids who are already pushing them towards divorce court, avoid divorce attorneys looking for their own celebrity status and large divorce fees. Thye should focus on themselves, Tiger’s issues, their family and the strength of their marriage.
