You are entitled to prompt communication with your attorney. Yes, they are busy, and you are not their only client, but they should respond to you in a timely fashion.You deserve to be heard and to have your questions answered, and to be advised on the progress of your case.
- The attorney you hired is not equipped to handle your case.
Some cases become complex and if you are a high net worth client, you may require a divorce attorney with a strong financial background. Depending on the scope of your case, you may need a divorce attorney who is a highly skilled negotiator or seasoned litigator. Not all attorneys are created equal.If you feel your attorney lacks the expertise your case requires you may not get the settlement you deserve!
- Your attorney is a mess!
If your attorney never seems to be prepared, or on top of what is going on in your case, you’re in trouble. This can really be a problem, and negatively affect the outcome of your case when they show up unprepared for court. If this happens to you, don’t walk, run!!
